Nutro Natural Choice Venison Adult Dog FoodI have a 7 year-old Springer and a 7 year-old Long-hair Datsund. The Springer has a very sensitive stomach and the Datsund had bad skin and hair. After feeding both Nutro Choice Venison for several months, the Springer became very active and normal, while the hair on the Datsund began to fill-out and shine while her skin quit flaking. So far this is the only product that has helped both my pets, and has been the only dog food we buy, since it has worked so well. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Pretty satisfiedI was feeding my dogs Hills Science Diet Rx food, but it was getting so expensive that I had to find an alternative. Nutro was the second different brand I tried, and this one seemed to agree with them the most. It must be a leaner food than the HIlls, because I feed them the same amount, but they've all slimmed down, so now I'm feeding them a bit more than usual. The one bad thing is that it does not seem to have enough fiber, because their stool is relatively soft. I think I'm going to have to get a fiber supplement. Great productI am very impressed with the Nutro sensitive stomach formula. My golden retriever has had lots of "tummy troubles" in the past and after trying several foods I found that the Nutro "purple" bag was the BEST fit for my dog. She's always prancing at her food bowl when it's time to eat. This is a really good product with a fair price. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

My dog loves this foodThis is the best dog food on the market, my dog is very fussy when it comes to dry food. She absolutely loves this...we give her 2 cups twice a day...I swear that she would eat half the bag if we allowed her to!! I give this dog food 10 stars...it's well worth the money. Nothing else has workedand this worked great. My border collie suffers from food allergies, drives us both nuts. Usual story, tried all the other stuff w/o gluten, wheat fillers, corn fillers, even rice is suspect. This venison/rice combination not only helped his skin, made his coat shiny...it made Mak visibly happy. He loved the taste....and looked forward to mealtime more than ever. Excellent on Skin AllergiesMy GSD Anika was found to have bad food allergies before putting her on prescription food our vet recommended a Venison and Rice formula of food and we told her what brand we feed them. We immediately switched them both to this formula and it has worked beautifully on her issues and has decreased the amount of shedding, their coats are soft and shiny. He likes it!My 2yr. old Bichon became picky about his dry dog food. I have tried two recommended premium brands. Neither got his approval. Then,while staying for a weekend at my daughter's, he ignored his food but ate her dogs' food. I thought it was a fluke but bought Nutro Natural Choice Venison to see if he would continue to like it. Meal time is like treat time . It is not a small breed formula but this little guy seems to enjoy the crunch. I'm confident that there will be no more testing of other brands. Excellent ChoiceMy 2 yellow labs have been on this food for 3 years now and have thrived on it. Their coats are downy soft and they never have any digestive issues or gas! My boy is a picky eater and did not go for the other Natural choice flavors until we tried the venison...he cannot get enough. We just adopted a rescue with walking dandruf and after only a month has his skin and coat improved dramatically. I love that the Nutro foods are packed with good stuff that big dogs need like glucosamine etc. I highly recommend this food to anyone. I've compared it with some holistic brands out there (which cost more per pound) and the only difference I have found is soybean oil - a minute percentage. Great!Our poodle developed allergies and would scratch like crazy! We tried two other limited ingredient dry dog foods but she woudn't eat them. She loves the Nutro Choice Venison and has stopped scratching, and seems much more energetic. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

My dog smells better!My dog likes this food. His stool is a lot less smelly and his flatulence problem has mostly disappeared. I think his breath is a little better too. He's been shedding a lot since we switched to this brand, but I think that has to do with the change of seasons rather than the food. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Excellent FoodI switched my dog's food to this one after reading literature on dog allergies. Not only does my dog LOVE the taste, but I noticed the biggest difference in the way his coat looked and felt! His fur is so soft and shiny now! He even sheds less too. An added plus is that this food contains even more glucosamine and chronditin than the senior variety, which is great since his age puts him in the senior category. A week after switching his food, he had more energy and was more active. If you read the ingredients, you will notice that this is truly a QUALITY food. Excellent Quality FoodWe changed to this food at the recommendation of a Nutro food specialist with skepticism, but we were pleasantly surprised! My dogs, ages 11 & 13 LOVE this food still after 2 years. It was recommended due to skin allergies & one of my dogs is very picky with what she will eat. No more sick puppy!
My Westie, Walker, has serious allergies to certain foods. This is by far the best food we've ever tried and she LOVES it. :) She is a bit of a picky eater, but she will always finish her bowl of Nutro and she has not had any stomach issues since I started her on it.
