One of the BEST New Balance Shoes Made!Strengths: Comfort, cushioning, support, durability. Weakness: Steep price, bulky design Without a doubt, the New Balance M1122 running shoe is one of the best New Balance shoes ever made. I have only been wearing this model for under a year now and am quite pleased with it. I was always under the assumption that a running shoe could only be worn if a person was a "runner" which I am not. Usually, in the past, I would wear a cross trainer as an every day shoe, until a sales person with New Balance mentioned I should try the M1122. I told him my thoughts on if I should wear one, and he mentioned the shoe is designed for forward motion and as an everyday shoe, it would work well for me. He was right, the shoe is outstanding! The comfort level is the highest I have experienced in a shoe, excellent support and cushioning. I wear it every day for normal wear and when I do walking for exercise. I don't recommend this shoe for sports though, such as basketball, baseball, or any sport that has you moving around. If that is the case, try the cross trainers from New Balance, especially the MX1007, MX853, and/or MX621. The MX1007 and MX853 have been replaced with newer models, so they may be harder to find, but stay away from the MX1008 replacement and MX854 replacement models (see my other reviewers here on PriceGrabber on them). 33% of readers found this review helpful. New Balance M1122MCStrengths: many sizes and widths available, very comfortable Weakness: price I can generally only purchase New Balance shoes since they have the most comfortable fits for my shoe size/width (14; 4x extra wide). This particular show comes in a 6x width and even though I am not technically that width size, I ordered it anyway. It is extremely comfortable and lightweight. I used the pair over vacation and did a lot of walking and felt very good. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

New Balance 1122Strengths: Available in Widths; Very Comfortable Weakness: Don't last as long as I would like Any New Balance athletic shoe is a favorite in my book. All are available in widths and are also manufactured from different lasts (toe and heel widths) They are extremely comfortable and the support is amazing. Great Shoe!
Strengths: Build quality, comfort

This is a great running shoe, or an everyday shoe so long as you don't do any activities in them such as baseketball, baseball, or other sports that require side-to-side motion, as these shoes are mainly designed for forward-motion such as running or walking. I have been wearing this style for about a year now myself and have to be one of the best New Balance shoes made to date. While you won't need an additional insert insole, I wear one and it takes some of the room away, but they still are a great shoe. I wish the price was cheaper but you can find them online for about $40+ cheaper than buying from New Balance stores.
