Myst V S/W purchaseStrengths: Excellent images. Weakness: Hard to read the script writing in books found throughout areas. Amazing to watch as your view scans around the areas. Not a bloody, shoot, slaughter, kill game. The puzzles are challenging without having to see blood spurt everywhere. For the novice the puzzles are not easily seen and solved.

Supposedly the endStrengths: Still a visual feast for those who like exploring; devious puzzles Weakness: As usual, one or two of the puzzles are just this side of impossible. If you hated Myst, you won't like the final game in the series any more. There is no combat, no vehicular action, and no violent death---just lavish exploration and wonder, interrupted by fiendish puzzles. The environments are mostly full 3D, which encourages exploration. The puzzles in this installment are, by and large, solvable without much cheating. The story does conclude, but I have to...

Myst V EndAges
Myst can be described as one of the last genuine adventure series on the market. While far from perfect, every successive title in the franchise has advanced the genre in some way or another. Every title has offered outstanding visuals at the time of release, not to mention continuously evolving puzzle design. But it wasn't so much the puzzles or graphics that made the Myst series unique, but its... Top

Myst V
Strengths: Improved graphics, better choices of interfacing w/mouse
Weakness: Hard to read the text in the on-line books/journals
I've played all five Myst games and Uru too. I've thoroughly enjoyed the puzzles and graphics. The puzzles seemed a bit easier this time but still very enjoyable. A hint section might have been nice but fortunately there are many sites to find that info.
